In Poland, one of the ways people call their sweethearts is โCat”( In Polish, “Kotkuโ), and Polish artist Mateusz Kolek likes to draw cats as a symbol of love. Those cats in his art often walk through the narrow streets and alleys, inadvertently spreading love to different places.
In 2023, Mateusz and designer Pat Guzik took love as the main theme, immersing it with the elements from Hong Kong movies to create a new series “I wonder when it all began”, which comes along with a series of new artworks, and a collection of exclusive Wearable Art, integrating art into life through the medium of fashion. The collection would be exclusive launch at Harvey Nichols pop-up store.
